Annual Jakes Memorial Scholarship Application

Kiwanis NWPB awards the Annual Warcecer Jakes Memorial Scholarship to support high school graduating seniors as they pursue higher education. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Be a high school graduating senior during the current academic year
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
Submit an official high school transcript
Plan to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution
Provide proof of acceptance by submitting an official acceptance letter from the institution at a later date

Please submit three (3) letters of recommendation (pdf, docx). Letters should be provided by a faculty member from your school, a community or church member, and/or an at-large recommender. Each letter must clearly state the recommender’s relationship to the applicant and must be signed and dated within the past six (6) months. Letters of recommendation submitted by family members will NOT be accepted. Each letter should INCLUDE the applicant’s name, the name of the person submitting the recommendation, their position and organization or business, the relationship to the applicant (student, employee, or other—please specify), and a statement of recommendation.
